A big news item in the past few months–read more here–has been Sheriff Gordon Smith of Bradford County, Florida. Sheriff Smith made national headlines when he placed large, red “A Sexual Predator Lives Here” signs, complete with names, in the yards of eighteen registrants in his country who are designated as sexual predators.
