NARSOL takes no position on age of consent laws. NARSOL believes it is each person’s responsibility to know the laws of the state in which he lives and follow the laws.
That said, NARSOL believes that sexual activity that may be in violation of laws in some states should not be criminalized nor require registration. This includes:
- Consensual sexual play between pre-teens.
- Consensual sexual activity between teens who are close in age.
- Consensual sexual activity between teens and young adults who are close in age.
