adminCBS Miami’s Eliott Rodriguez discusses the relocation of homeless, sexual offenders and the controversy surrounding it with Miami-Dade Homeless Trust and ACLU.

MaestroWhat upsets me in this “debate” is that when Book was spewing his nonsense, the ACLU rep didn’t REMIND Mr. Book that the woman who abused his daughter had NO PRIOR CRIMINAL RECORD, obviously or else he wouldn’t have hired her.
If it was me sitting there, I would have said it right to his face for all views to hear and you can take that to the bank. I would NOT have held back. -
SaddlesWell I have to agree a bit with Maestro on this one the debate interview was a bit harsh. Its like the song your trash ain’t nothing but cash and sex offenders it seems are trash. Wrong. Does real human beings throw away real human beings? I sort of hinced a underlining to some of this .
My uncle lived in the Pompano area and we went to dade county years ago on vacation. Sure with all the hotels and motels and play area’s I can see a picture of the tourism trade that might be, distract money, from the county. I wonder when hotels are going to put up signs beware of the homeless sex offenders around the beach. All this sounds a bit insane to me.
Yes that debate was a bit tacky but any business person trying to sell a product or excusing someone’s behavior are like two thief’s in the night. One side wants to protect those who seek shelter and one wants to say we are a bit more compassionate to help the sex offender.
Sort of all scrambled up if you ask me in this debate Its like nobody’s putting human value on a sex offender in this day and era Talk about love thy neighbor.
