Rick, in strict adherence to the facts, Luke did not “have sex” with a girl a few years younger than himself. If he is guilty of he crime to which he pled, he molested a 6 year old child. He received what appears to be appropriate punishment and fulfilled the obligations of it. He did what we expect of kids who mess up; he straightened up and stayed on the straight and narrow. But as is so common when the messing up involves a sexual offense, staying on the straight and narrow is not sufficient. And thus our advocacy.
