Really appreciate your comments here. And I agree. Registered citizens should not feel obliged to do any more than the law requires. A registered citizen has no more duty than an unregistered citizen to ask “how high?” when a law enforcement officer says “Jump!” Or, in more reasonable terms, registered citizens have absolutely no duty to call an officer merely because he is asked to do so. In ANY jurisdiction where the law requires otherwise, get yourself an attorney and SUE! One has a right to remain silent. Period.
