They are just trying to figure out what kind of relief everyone is due. They have to look up your original record to see if Megan’s Law was a part of your plea agreement and to see what was your original sentence to Megan’s Law as if you were required to register. They weren’t allowed to process certain people while Act 10 was being processed because no more wanted them off. We just have to wait for the right moment to challenge the civil interpretation of Act 10. I think if the Pa Supreme Court says Act 10 is criminal, the General Assembly would be forced to accept that as the final answer and wouldn’t be able to pass another law. We will see. Not much to say until the second phase (challenge phase) starts. Kind of the calm before battle.
