Chuck. I do not think the average person knows the extent of people on the registry but the politicians can say that the number of registrants is virtually unchanged and point out the stats. We who look at numbers know they are reduced but only minimally. The politicians will say”virtually unchanged”. They only care about perception. That is why there is this onerous list to start with. To crow about how they are protecting the public. Not to effect real change but give the impression things are safer from the evil monster previously convicted sex offender. Maybe I just being suspicious but I doubt it.
