The more and more I think about this International Megan’s Law (IML) the more and more it seems the United States is trying to side step “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights” it signed onto in 1948. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Declaration_of_Human_Rights
Article 13 of “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights” clearly states:
(1) Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state.
(2) Everyone has the right to leave any country, including his own, and to return to his country.
So how did they side step this, easy! They just send a notification to the country you are traveling to and let them do their dirty work for them. I have decided when I travel I’m going to carry a copy of “The Universal Declaration of Human Rights” and that if they try to deny my entry that they are in violation of this powerful international declaration and that the United States is only trying to get them to do their dirty work. I suggest everyone do the same.
NARSOL? Is this being addressed at the UN level?
Notice which countries ratified this document: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_Declaration_of_Human_Rights
United Kingdom, Mexico, Australia…. very sad.
