Erik McInnis is an Ozarks native and attended Missouri State where he played varsity football and received a B.A. in mathematics in 1990. He was commissioned as an officer in the Marines and went on to serve 22 years specializing in air traffic and aviation command and control. He later earned a masters degree in applied mathematics and has taught the calculus sequence at the United States Naval Academy. Additionally, he has multiple combat deployments, and his final billet prior to retirement was that of airfield operations officer at Miramar, CA. Erik has pursued the reformation of sexual offense laws since 2019 and is the Missouri advocate for NARSOL. He currently sits on the board for Viewpoints, an organization that offers transitional housing and re-entry services for returning citizens on the registry. His focus is fighting misinformation about sexual offenses using verifiable facts within the public domain, media, law enforcement and the judiciary.
