The new mayor of a village in a Chicago suburb unleashed a firestorm after it has emerged that she hired a registered child sex offender who worked on her campaign to be the town’s code enforcement officer – a job that requires him to inspect inside homes and businesses. Trustees in the […]
Ah, that old reform, rehabilitate, and integrate back to society as a tax paying, law abiding citizen… that is what was told to many PFR, and when it gets done, it sparks outrage. Don’t try to win the lotto and try to claim it as a PFR or preform some act that deserves attention. Once they find out people are outraged.
I have read comment regarding this on other social media platforms and to be fair the biggest concern was the close inspection of a person’s house alone, however, his offense was a very long time ago.
I must point out that many PFRs have their own businesses or work for some other companies, etc, that place them close to many places. Should we bar that?
It is good that he has a job but you know somewhere there will be a law or statute changed to not let this occur again. Also that mayor will probably not get reelected.
Btw have you guys seen the video or the news about a “concerned citizen” that finds RSO place of business and harass them? The RSO was not in someone’s home but was serving or washing dishes for customers in a restaurant. He has little to no contact with customers and yet 6his citizen was not happy for him.
SORNA forcibly hires sex offenders to provide valuable public safety data in order to create a luxury for law enforcement, the general public and private enterprises who scrape the SO website for redistribution and profit. so whats the big deal here?
does the public believe the registry is or is required to be abusive? exploitative? seems quite telling.
