NARSOL’s special Christmas Eve conference call a success

NARSOL’s Christmas Eve phone call was, by all accounts, very well received.

The total number participating is hard to determine as callers came and went. NARSOL board members present at varying points, in addition to Richard who hosted the call, were Brenda, Larry, and Sandy. NARSOL state organizations participating were PARSOL (Pennsylvania), One Standard of Justice (Connecticut), NCRSOL (North Carolina) and the Coalition for Sexual Offense Restoration (Colorado). Callers were from at least fourteen different states as well as Washington, D.C.

Some of the guests were fairly new to NARSOL and we pleased to have this opportunity to connect.

The primary conversations were sharing stories of hope. Persons on parole shared positive experiences, and some talked about persons who had made a positive difference for them during their periods of incarceration. Others offered support and made connections within their state.

The analysis of one attendee is that everyone was there for each other as a community, sharing stories that gave hope.

The call was well received, and NARSOL is honored to have been able to provide the opportunity to bring people together who could share and help lift each other up.
