NARSOL’s 11th conference: register now!

Houson, Texas; June 6 – 9.

This is from Michael, our new director of marketing:

I just wanted to take a moment of your valuable time to introduce myself to you and to tell you about an exciting opportunity coming up, one that I hope you’ll want to take full advantage of. My name is Michael McKay, and I’m the marketing director at the National Association for Rational Sexual Offense Laws (NARSOL). I’m reaching out to you personally because I think everyone deserves some positivity in their lives, and having a little more money in your pocket is always nice, too! Later in this letter, I’m going to give you some information and a code that will be worth $70.00 to you, so please read this letter in its entirety.

It should come as no surprise to you that a person who is informed, well-connected, motivated to succeed, and feeling more in charge of his or her own destiny is more likely to be happy and successful in life.  But, as you undoubtably know, life on the registry can make it seem like an insurmountable challenge to even get started. Believe me, I’ve been there. I get it. And here’s what I’ve learned from my own registry experience: There’s only so much you can do on your own. That’s why I want to help you take those first few steps toward making some positive differences in your own life.

It’s a learning event.  On June 6th through the 9th, NARSOL will be holding our annual conference in Houston, Texas. At that conference, you’ll be informed of all the latest developments in the courts and legislatures and be able to take part in presentations and workshops that will bring you up to speed on cutting-edge strategies for coping with the many daunting challenges of being on the registry. It’s been said that knowledge is power, and our goal is to ensure that you come away from this event feeling empowered by what you learn!

It’s a networking event.  Of course, it isn’t just what you know that can make a positive difference in your life. Sometimes, who you know can be just as important.  This event will be the perfect opportunity to get acquainted with well-known “movers and shakers” in the criminal justice and registry reform movements like Lenore Skenazy, Guy Hamilton-Smith, Alissa Ackerman, Paul Wright, Christopher Dum, and Paul Dubbeling. You’ll also get the chance to meet and strategize with great NARSOL volunteers from all over the country. Learn more about our roster of amazing speakers here.

Scholarships.  We’ve also made it easier than ever for those who would love to attend this event but are in need of financial assistance. NARSOL conference scholarships are available to members in good standing who meet our eligibility requirements.  Our scholarship committee will be announcing this year’s recipients soon, so if you’re considering applying for a scholarship, you should do it right away.

More affordable than ever.  If you register for this event before May 15, 2019, you will qualify for an “Early Bird” discount and save $20. Even better, if you are a NARSOL member, you get an additional $50 discount; if you have not been sent the discount code, contact NARSOL. If you are not a member but join NARSOL now, you’ll receive the code for the additional $50 off the weekend conference package. That’s a whopping $70 off the full weekend package for NARSOL members who register by May 15!

Awesome venue.  The venue for this year’s conference will be the luxurious Houston Marriott South at Hobby Airport. With a group rate of $104/night, rooms are going fast, so you may want to book now! The hotel boasts a great Texas-style steakhouse restaurant, indoor swimming pool with whirlpool, fitness center, and free shuttle service to Hobby Airport. If family members will be traveling with you and want to enjoy Houston while you’re “conferencing,” the hotel is just minutes by taxi away from the Houston Zoo, the Houston Museum of Natural Science, the Holocaust Museum, the Children’s Museum of Houston, and the Almeda Mall.  Booking your room now won’t cost you a cent until you check in. You can cancel any time prior to the conference without penalty.

I look forward to meeting you at our annual conference! I truly believe that collaboration, shared knowledge, and networking are essential keys to success in both our organizational and personal goals. Our theme this year, which pays tribute to Houston’s long association with America’s space program, is “Launching Solutions; Reaching for Stars.” NARSOL wants to help you to find real solutions to the challenges you face and to reach your personal and professional goals, whatever they may be.  But we can’t do that if you don’t come to the conference!

Won’t you take a moment to register now?

Sincerely,

Michael McKay, NARSOL Director of Marketing
