Jersey County, US Marshals, IL police waste thousands of dollars to find two SOs who failed to register

JERSEYVILLE — Two registered sex offenders have been arrested on charges of violating registry laws and another is facing drug charges after a compliance operation spearheaded by the Jersey County Sheriff’s Department.

According to Sheriff John Wimmersberg, the U.S. Marshals Service and Illinois State Police assisted in the compliance check.
